Surroundings & activities:
The cottage is excellently located to start exploring north east Bohemia, an area that is divided into 4 regions: the Giant Mountains (Karkonosze), the Broumov region, the Nachad region and the Orlické Mountains. A visit to Poland is a possibility, with the Poland border lying at 4km away from Zaclér. The Golden Town Prague lies 165km away and is certainly worth a visit as well.

The Giant Mountains are located in the north east of Bohemia and are stretched out over the border with Poland for a total distance of approx. 40 km. The average altitude of the 20 km wide mountain range is 1200m, with a couple of mountains that are much higher than that. With a 1602m altitude, the Snezka (located in the eastern part) is considered to be the highest one. Other peaks are the de Lucni hora (1555 m), the Studnicná hora (1554 m) and the Vysoké kolo (1506 m).

The Broumov region is located in north east Bohemia as well. It is a charming valley surrounded with woody hills - beloved for its peace, beauty and unspoilt nature. The city Broumov is the cultural and economic centre. Interesting to know about this region is the fact that there has not been any industrial development through the years. You will be surrounded by clean air and unspoilt nature here.

The Orlické Mountains ('Orlické hory') run into the Giant Mountains and belong to the smaller mountain ranges of the Czech republic. It consists of a merely continuously 50km long mountain ridge.
